Terms of Service

Pressjitsu.com provides hosting services to their custumers under the following Terms of Service. By creating an account on Pressjitsu.com you are accepting these terms. Pressjitsu.com reserves the right to modify these terms without notice.

Pressjitsu is a WordPress hosting company

Although we run in an environment where multiple various content management systems and frameworks could be used, our customers are allowed to run only websites based on the WordPress open source project and its derivatives, including its sister projets bbPress, BuddyPress and GlotPress.

We do, however, allow additional scripts and products to be used in conjuction with your WordPress site without any guarantee, such as advertising servers and a stat-collection scripts. These products must be an essential part of your WordPress site, so you may not, for example, run an independent ad-serving network, or a SugarCRM instance, but you could easily run a WordPress-based CRM if you need one.

Service-level Agreement

Pressjitsu provides a 99.9% uptime guarantee calculated on a monthly basis. If your WordPress site is down for more than 0.1% in any given month, you're entitled to SLA credits pro-rated for the downtime. However, please note that the SLA does not apply for outages caused by third-party plugins or themes, customer code and actions, although our support team will be happy to help fix the breakage in a timely manner.

Data Protection

The Data Protection Act 1998, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) and all applicable laws and regulations relating to the processing of personal data as amended, re-enacted, replaced or superseded from time to time will be upheld to the highest standard by Pressjitsu.

You are in control of all your Personal Data and a data processor, we will fully disclose what we collect, why and how we store and process it. Personal Data is processed and stored to the extent necessary for the purposes of performing our obligations as a hosting company. Only persons authorized by Pressjitsu will have access to process your Personal Data, and we will uphold appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure the Personal Data and protect the rights of the data subject, with particular regard to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to it.

Pressjitsu will not engage another processor of the Personal Data without your prior consent, save for the payment processors, data storage and hosting service providers needed to provide the Services. At your request, we will delete or return all Personal Data to you, and delete all existing copies at the end of this agreement, unless applicable law requires their retention. Moreover, we will make available to you all information reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance with the obligations, and allow for and contribute to reasonable audits, including inspections, conducted by you or your representative.

We will provide reasonable assistance to you in respect of responding to requests from data subjects to exercise their rights, ensuring the security of processing Personal Data, notifying data breaches to the supervisory authority and communicating them to the data subject, conducting privacy impact assessments and prior consultation with the supervisory authority if needed ahead of an impact assessment, if necessary and at your expense; and without undue delay after becoming aware of a Personal Data security breach, notify you and provide reasonable assistance to you in dealing with the breach.

You will have to make your own data protection arrangements for your End Users and their Personal Data. Fortunately, WordPress 4.5.6+ provides WordPress site admins with the necessary tools to do so adequately. Protectr yourself from breaches, loss, liability, damages by keeping your PHP code audited and plugins, themes up-to-date.

Abuse, Spam, Porn, etc.

You are not allowed to use the Pressjitsu platform for spam, abuse, pornography and other activities illegal in the United States. Pressjitsu.com is not responsible for any content hosted on our customer's sites unless explicitly uploaded by a Pressjitsu.com employee. You are not allowed to host copyrighted content. Any incoming DMCA request will be forwarded to the e-mail address associated with your account and you'll be given five days to comply with the request or file a counter-request.

Non-US government requests will also be forwarded to the e-mail address on file, however, you reserve the right to not comply with such requests at your own risk.

Payment & Refund Policy

All Pressjitus.com plans are billed monthly in credits at the beginning of the next cycle. If at that time your account balanced is less than the necessary amount, you will be given five days to top up your Pressjitsu.com credits account. After five days your account may be suspended. All payments on Pressjitsu.com are processed by a third-party (2Checkout). Pressjitsu.com never stores your credit card information.

Pressjitsu.com offers a refund policy for new customers only, and on the Solo plan only. If you are unhappy with the Pressjitsu Solo service within 14 days after account activation, you may contact support and ask for a refund.

Account Suspension

Pressjitsu.com reserves the right to suspend accounts in case of a violation of the Terms of Service. The most recent account backup is kept for 14 days only. Please contact support for access to account backups.
